  1. Hi ST,

Nice humour. Really pathetic volumes. Nifty traders about to get extinct I guess.

    I had a query. I trade 5 min charts.
Wanted your opinion whether it was FTC when prices formed DB and failed to reach PDH and retraced back to PDC and below.

    Plz click here

    Thanks

No .FTC happens when price forms a swing pivot and second push after a pullback fails to break this pivot.

FTC trades are always CT trades.
It should be taken only when a directional move gets exhausted. Other factors like FTA and space are very important here also

  9. Thanks ST for the reply.
Was studying the post u mentioned.
Can I say that if a swing high or low is not taken out upon retest only then FTC occurs? Nothing other than swing high or swing low?

TST and BOF of a DP is also Failure of price to continue beyond a certain point.
The difference is TST and BOF happens when price interacts with an established DP. But FTC happens not at an established DP but a potential swing point which may become a DP later.
FTC being a CT trade and not at an established DP are low probability trades in comparison with TST or BOF
I will make a separate post later
